The first module of my first year in Interactive Media Production concerned, as I interpreted it, visual design and intent. The theme was Nature and Technology and a lot of philosophical musing led me to the conclusion that the simplicity of the symbol is one of man's most unnatural creations. I won't go into it here, think about it yourself. So, I produced these four images, demonstrating natural scenes in the form of signs. They were originally black and white, but limiting myself in such a way made it very difficult to produce four effective images, and I had to use text in at least one, so I loosened my self-imposed restrictions and, I feel, got much better results.

Note: the images above are different to the originals, adapted for my online portfolio. 30cm square versions can be downloaded from the website link if you like any enough to print them out and put them on your wall. I'll even come and sign them if you do.
