Please, call me Aneurin. Why? Well it's my name. That is enough reason I think. If you would like to give me a pet name I don't really mind as long as you would be comfortable calling me by it in public.
(It's pronounced 'an-eye-rin' by the way, not 'an-urgh-in' or 'an-yoor-in'.)
I am studying Interactive Media Production at Bournemouth University. It is a nice town. My grandparents live here. I see them at the weekends and get free meals. Whee!
Ah yes, my course. I am currently in my second year, which means, unfortunately, that I have to do work. What a hassle. There is so much I could be doing that isn't work; for instance procrastination. I like to do that. It is fun! Though I am a hard worker.
Obviously.
I currently freelance for CEMP and am always interested in other commissions or paid favours. I sometimes do things for free as well if I like you enough and the work is uncomplicated.
I am fluent in XHTML Strict 1.1, CSS, PHP and MySQL, competent in JS and AS3, and getting comfortable with AJAX. I am also well practiced in database and system analysis and design, but that's not really so interesting. Quite boring actually. But I am good at it.
I like to design for both print and web, particularly experimenting with visual styles I have not attempted to use before. I'm not a very good illustrator, but I'm practising!
Yes, I... I know. Helvetica abounds. So what?
I'm hoping that when* you browse my portfolio you'll be focusing on my actual work, not the stuff I wrap it in. I don't feel that designing a particularly beautiful or impressive site is a priority; I'm hoping my portfolio of work will speak for itself.
To this end, my website is designed with minimalism in mind. Uninspiring, I understand that. Boring possibly. Yeah well. I don't care. I'll come up with something better another time.
If you have any comments or object to my approach to designing this site then feel free to contact me and let me know. I welcome feedback; though, frankly, I'd prefer feedback on my actual work.
*or if, lol.
